Unique in the Netherlands
The first animals have arrived and are slowly getting used to their new habitat. Over the summer, more and more species will take up residence. In Ngyuwe, you will find 19 new residents, including three rare animal species that cannot be found anywhere else in the Netherlands:
Yellow-backed duiker: This shy and unusual animal has a fitting name. When in danger, they in fact dive away between the bushes at lightning speed, but with some luck you will catch a glimpse of this unique ungulate.
African brush-tailed porcupine: This spiny nocturnal animal often appears at night, but in Ngyuwe's nocturnal animal enclosure you can also spot this unique animal during the day.
Drill: This rare species of monkey will take up residence in Ngyuwe later in the summer.

In the indoor enclosure, admire the okapi as it takes shelter from the heat or rain.
