Ringstaartmaki's bij de ingang van hun binnenverblijf op Itampolo bij ZooParc Overloon

Itampolo

In Itampolo you step into the middle of Madagascar's special animal world. On the Island of the Prosimians you will walk among curious ring-tailed lemurs, red varis and Alaotran gentle lemurs. You'll also get to know the fossa, Madagascar's largest predator.

Who lives in Itampolo?

Itampolo consists of two parts

The area consists of two parts. One part is the island where the prosimians can be found. Here you can walk among the prosimians as a ZooParc visitor. For the second part of Itampolo something else applies. This is where fossas can be found. Fossas are real carnivores and mainly hunt lemurs. Therefore, the second part of Itampolo consists of an enclosure for the fossas. You can see both the enclosure and the fossa cave from different points.
